New year starts with low fuel prices in Oman

Muscat: Drivers welcomed the New Year with low fuel prices, as the government announced a drop in the prices of M91, M95, and diesel.
The National Subsidy System announced the fuel prices for January 2019.
According to the new list, M91 will now be priced at 198 baisas per litre, a drop from 211 baisas per litre last month. The price of M95 dropped from 223 baisas per litre in December to 209 baisas per litre in January.
Meanwhile, diesel will be priced at 238 baisas per litre, a decline from 251 baisas last month.
Looking back at 2018, January was the lowest month for M91, M95, and diesel at 199, 213 and 230 baisas per litre, respectively.
The months of October and November recorded the highest prices for M91, peaking at 222 baisas per litre for both months.
The last three months of the year recorded the highest fuel price for M95 at 233 baisas per litre for October, November, and December.
Similarly, diesel reached its highest point in November, costing 261 baisas per litre.
