Muscat: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan announced his country's New Year's resolution.
According to Khan, they will resolve to wage a war against its "four ills".
In a statement posted online, Khan said, "Our New Year resolution is to wage jihad against the 4 ills of our country: poverty, illiteracy, injustice and corruption. InshaAllah 2019 is the beginning of Pakistan's golden era."
Khan took power of the nuclear-armed South Asian country in August 2018, promising to create a new Pakistan. His campaign promises include fighting corruption, building a transparent administration, and establishing a welfare state.
