Mwasalat launches services in two new Wilayats of Oman

Muscat: Oman's National Transport Service provider — Mwasalat — has launched services in the Wilayats of Sohar and Salalah.
Officials also revealed that for the first seven days the service will be free.
Mwasalat said: "In order to encourage everyone to experience public transport within the two Wilayats, the service will be free for seven days from December 28, 2018 to January 3, 2019. As a call to everyone to experience the service and make [Mwasalat] their choice to travel through these lines.
"The launch of the new lines contributes to the provision of direct and indirect functions of Omani cadres in the public transport sector," Mwasalat added.
The new lines, officials said, will serve airports, ports and a number of service, educational and health institutions in addition to the people living there.
The buses are compatible with international standards and offer free internet access from Omantel.
