Oman State Council, Majlis officials meet newspaper editors in chief

Muscat: Dr. Khalid bin Salim Al Sa’eedi, Secretary General of the State Council and Sheikh Ali bin Nasser Al Mahrouqi, Secretary General of Majlis Al Shura met at the State Council’s headquarters yesterday with editors in chief of Oman News Agency (ONA) and local newspapers.
They discussed means of enhancing cooperation among the two councils and local media in the field of media coverage during sessions, press releases and issued related to the parliamentary journalist work.
The meeting touched on the topic of naming a parliamentary journalist in media institutions whose mission is to cover activities of the two councils.
It also discussed the quality of news and the specialised training courses in the internal and external parliamentary journalism.
