Now post your complaint against insurers at Capital Market Authority portal

Muscat: Oman’s Capital Market Authority has asked residents and citizens who feel they have been victims of wrongdoings by insurance companies to file complaints on their online whistleblowing service.
“The Public Authority for Capital Markets (CMA) has listed a “Notification” window via its website, and this can be accessed through a link,” the Capital Market Authority announced online.
“The notification window serves as a channel for communication between the TRA and all agents with entities subject to the authority’s control in the financial and insurance sectors, in order to report any illegal or immoral violations or irregularities or similarities to corruption in such entities,” added the Capital Market Authority.
The CMA E-service features two forms for people to lodge their complaints. Citizens and residents can file a formal complaint against insurance firms that they feel are involving themselves in illegal or spurious activities, or they can do so anonymously through the CMA whistleblower service.
The site also allows people to check up on their existing complaints, and all of these services can be easily accessed through the E-services tab on the Capital Market Authority’s website, www.cma.gov.om.
