Three expats arrested, 3,000 packs of Khat seized in Oman

Muscat: Three expats of “Arab nationality” have been arrested for possession of 3,000 packs of Khat in the Wilayat of Mirbat, Royal Oman Police (ROP) said on Monday.
Authorities caught the accused with khat on a boat near the Mirbat beach.
A statement by ROP said, "The Directorate for Combating Narcotics in Dhofar, aided by a police special task force, arrested three Arab nationals, with 3,000 bundles of Khat on the boat they used near Mirbat beaches.”
Officials have seized Khat and have sent the accused to judicial authorities for further investigation and trial.
