Muscat: The National Business Centre (NBC), an initiative of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates – Madayn, celebrated on Monday the graduation of seven incubated companies, which were incubated in NBC and Riyada. The event, which took place at the Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM), was held under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsen Al Ghassani, CEO of the Public Authority for SME Development (Riyada).
Malak Al Shaibani, Director General of the National Business Centre, emphasised that NBC’s success in graduating seven small and medium enterprises (SMEs) comes as a result of collaborative efforts between several bodies.
“The determination of business owners and their inspiring passion have also played a major role in reaching the level of success that they are enjoying today. In fact, what comes after this graduation represents a new and real beginning for these companies, as they have the required capabilities to develop and contribute further to the advancement of the national economy and provision of new job opportunities,” Al Shaibani pointed out.
The seven graduated companies hailed the efforts, support and incentives offered by NBC and Riyada, which have majorly contributed to their success in the entrepreneurship field. Among the graduates, Mint Marketing is a branding agency aimed at introducing the brands in different ways through creative artwork and in-depth research. Isra Al Lawati of Mint Marketing mentioned that the company’s services include logo creation, corporate events, social media management, and brand management.
Victoria Lake Trade and Cont. Ent. is another graduated company. Mansoor Al Mahrooqi elaborated that the company is specialised in providing oil and gas supplies. He pointed out that the company has extensive experience in oil and gas, construction and other commercial sectors.
Carzaty was also among the companies that graduated at the event as it represents the first online car store in the country to offer the best car offers to Omanis and residents in the Sultanate at the best prices. Founded by the entrepreneur, Hassan Al Lawati, the online car platform aims at improving the overall experience of buying cars. It should be noted that the company’s website has been receiving positive feedback from the customers.
Speaking about Innovision Engineering Consultancy which also graduated at the event, Faisal Al Yafei said that the company is a professionally managed multi-dimensional Omani engineering consultancy that provides engineering services and project management services to the oil and gas, power, water and industrial sectors in the Sultanate.
Destination Sustainability, which is a personalised consultancy and research firm in corporate sustainability and social responsibility, was among the graduates. The company brings together international best practices and global research and innovation with deep local expertise and regional cultural awareness in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR), stakeholder and community engagement, sustainability systems and social impact measurement. Destination Sustainability is founded and led by Shaima Al Lawati, who enjoys a rich expertise in supporting global and local organisations in evaluating, managing and setting up CSR and sustainability strategies, deploying community programmes and measuring the Social Return on Investment (SROI).
Furthermore, the graduated company Fatma Al Riyami Consultancy (Xeem), aims at driving corporate excellence in the Sultanate’s organisations and businesses, providing demonstrable value through excellence and integrated management solutions designed to engage customers, enrich performance and meet expectations. The services of the company range from project management and setting corporate management systems to transformation practices in compliance with international standards.
Fatma Al Hajri of Jinaan Legal Translation commented that the company is specialised in a very broad scale of subjects ranging from legal documents to high-tech documents, books, projects, websites, financial reports, technical catalogues, medical documents and philosophical writing. The company offers translation services from and into Arabic, English, French, Germany, Italian, Chinese, Hindi, Persian, among others.
