Royal Office Minister honours winners of ROP Shooting Contest

Muscat: Oman's Special Police Taskforce and the Al Buraimi Governorate Police Command won top spot during the 2018 Royal Oman Police (ROP) Shooting Championship.
The Special Police Taskforce placed first among the men's teams participating in the general category, while the Al Buraimi Governorate Police Command won first place among women's teams.
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) shooting contest for 2018 ended at the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences shooting ranges under the auspices Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office in the presence of Lt. Gen Hassan bin Mohsen Al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs.
More than 1,514 male and female shooters from 101 teams (30 for the officers, 26 for the female police and 45 for other ranks) took part.
The last day saw fierce competition among the different teams and formations to win top places.
At the end of the contest, Gen. Al Nu’amani honoured winners and handed over the contest shield and cups to the top teams.
