State Audit Institution website offers citizens online platform to file complaints

Muscat: Citizens and residents in Oman can now file complaints on the State Audit Institution (SAI) website. The website was shown to a gathering during a presentation on made by the SAI recently.
The focus of the presentation was the SAI’s role in preserving the public fund and protecting the acquisitions of the country in the Directorate General for Financial and Administrative Audit in Sohar.
The SAI website was displayed to the audience, to show the available platforms through which citizens can file their complaints. SAI app is also available on iOS and Android stores. Besides, citizens can go personally to the SAI headquarters or to one of the seven branches in the different governorates or call on the toll-free line specified.
The presentation addressed the mechanism used by SAI to implement its jurisdictions with regard to the financial and administrative audit for public funds, as well as all the financial and administrative transactions. In addition, the presentation touched upon SAI’s efforts to follow-up the implementation of the UN Convention against Corruption and assume the duties of the anti-corruption authority through presenting the different activities undertaken to raise awareness and promote integrity.
The event was held in the presence of the Deputy Chairman of SAI, Nasser Al Rawahi; Sheikh Muhnna Al Lamki, Governor of Al Batinah North Governorate, and a number of officials in Sohar.
