Muscat: The Planning and Follow-up Committee in the Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) held its seventh meeting this year during which it discussed the general programme of external participation for 2019, the most important of which is the first international beach games to be held in San Diego, USA next October.
The participation in this championship comes within the framework of the basic annual goals for 2019 and the implementation of the plan adopted by the board of directors to participate in the next two Olympic Games (2020/2024).
The Planning and Follow Up Committee, chaired by Mohsen bin Hamad Al Masroori, Deputy Head of the committee, presented its recommendations to the OOC Board of Directors to confirm the initial participation in six games: football, handball, basketball, swimming, sailing and volleyball.
