Tough competition at equestrian events

Barka: The hurdles show activities continued at Olympic Equestrian Centre in the Wilayat of Barka as part of the Muscat Hurdles Show for the second year 2018-2019 in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and the Olympic Equestrian Centre.
The equestrian activities were held under the supervision of Oman Equestrian Federation and the National Programme for Enhancing Economic Diversification.
The event witnessed tough competitions among the participants. The number of horses taking part in the competitions stood at 60.
The first day of competitions saw the participation of 25 horses and the first place was secured by horse rider Qasim Mohammed Al Farsi (ROP Cavalry Unit) in the beginners category.
In D1 category, which has seen the participation of 19 horse, the first place was secured by Sara Ali (Olympic Equestrian Centre). In D category, seven horses participated and the first place was secured by Sultan Al Harasi (from RGO Cavalry Unit). C Category has seen the participation of seven horses, where Khalid Khalfan Al Shuwaibi secured the first place.
The second day of competitions comprised the beginners category which saw the participation of 25 horses and the first place went to Muaz Al Hadabi ( Sultan Oman Armoured Cavalry Unit). In D 1, the first place was secured by M. Graham (Olympic Equestrian Centre). In D Category, the first place was secured by Mohammed Al Tooqi. In C Category, the first place was secured by Shadia Al Obaidani. Khalid Al Saadi secured the first place in B category.
