House raided in Muttrah for illegal furniture works

Muscat: A number of expat workers have been arrested by authorities for illegal furniture works in Muttrah, Muscat Municipality has said.
The arrests were made in cooperation with Public Prosecution and Royal Oman Police (ROP).
In an online statement, the municipality said, "In cooperation with Public Prosecution and ROP, Muscat Municipality has raided a house in Al Noor area of Grand Muttrah used by expatriate workers to engage in the manufacture of furniture and carpentry work illegally and without license, the materials were confiscated and the violators were referred to the competent authorities."
