Omani-Qatari Business Forum to discuss ways to boost trade

Muscat: The Omani-Qatari Business Forum, organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI), will begin on Monday.
The forum is being organised on the sidelines of the four-day “Made in Qatar Exhibition” at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The four-day forum will be inaugurated by Yahya bin Said Al Jabri, Chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority in Duqm (Sezad), in the presence of Ali bin Ahmed Al Kawari, Qatari Minister of Commerce and Industry.
The forum will discuss the means of enhancing business and economic cooperation between the two countries. It includes a seminar under the theme “Industry as a Strategic Option”. The seminar will discuss the means of increasing joint and mutual investments, especially in the industrial sectors.
It will also discuss the means of benefiting from Omani and Qatari industries in enhancing inter-trade and reviewing the available investment opportunities in both countries. It will encourage Omani and Qatari businessmen to set up ventures that serve the economic growth of both countries.
The “Made in Qatar’ exhibition is a platform that brings together factories, companies and SMEs in Qatar under one roof and introduces them to Omani businessmen and visitors.
The exhibition is also an important platform to enhance business and economic relations. -ONA
