Muscat: Two steppe eagles tagged in Oman have travelled more than 70,000 kilometres according to the Environment Society Oman (ESO).
Since April 6, 2017 the eagles, known as Eagle 162312 and Eagle 105, travelled a total of 73,263 kilometres, crossing Saudi Arabia, Iran and Kazakhstan.
The steppe eagles were tagged as part of the Raptor Research and Conservation project conducted by ESO in collaboration with the International Avian Research and the Bernd Meyburg Foundation for Raptor Research and Conservation.
