Equestrian: OEF holds third showjumping competition

BARKA: The third showjumping competition for the new season organised by the Oman Equestrian Federation was held at Al Rahba Farm in the Wilayat of Barka recently.
The competitions comprised five categories namely B category, C category, D category, D1 category and an amateur category. A total of 72 horses took part in the competitions.
In B category, in which three horses participated, Khalid Al Subhi secured the first place. Category C was won by Mohammed Al Tooqi where eight horses took part.
In the D1 category where 21 horses participated M. Graham bagged the first place.
In D category, 11 horses took part with Khalid Al Subhi from the Royal Cavalry securing the first place.
Out of a total of 29 horses that participated in the amateur category Faisal Al Sharji took the top spot.
At the end of the competition, Lt. Colonel Hashil bin Farhan, Commandant of the Royal Cavalry and Ahmed bin Saif Al Abri, head of the Competitions Committee at Oman Equestrian Federation honoured the winners.
