UNHCR, the United Nations' Refugee agency aims to send handwritten “letters of love” to over 18,000 refugee children, as part of their non-profit initiative.
The “Letters of Love” initiative sends handwritten cards to refugee children in Syria, Iraq, Sudan and Palestine in addition to Rohingya, Afghan, Kurdish, and Yazidi children.
Last year the initiative delivered 13,000 letters to kids. One of the letters from last year said, "Hello sweetheart, I wish you laughter and I want you to study hard and always [be] happy. Happy New Year!"
