Indian School Muladha organises talent show 'Kalasangamam 2018'

Muscat: The annual literary and cultural competition Kalasangamam 2018, was conducted at Indian School Muladha recently.
The event's preliminary rounds were conducted on October 17 and 18, 2018 for a wide array of performing items. The programme witnessed the participation of students in five categories sub junior 1, sub-junior 2, junior, senior and super-senior conducted at ten different venues.
Around 2,000 students took part in the preliminary round and 750 students qualified for the finals. The students exhibited their talents in the events like Light Music, Instrumental Music, Recitation and elocution in English, Hindi and Malayalam, Western music, Arabic song, Classical Music, Just a Minute, Ek Minute Boliye, Folk Dance, Classical Dance, Declamation, Fancy Dress , News Reading, Percussion, Vegetable Carving, Mehendi Designing, Mono Act, Banquet, Glass Painting, and Collage Making.
Inter-house events such as Dumb Charades, Antakshari, Quiz, Digital Symposium, Fashion show, Mime and Group Dance were also held.
The finals of all the events were held on November 10 and 11, 2018.
External judges were invited to the school for adjudicating the performances of the students and their unbiased evaluation encouraged and rejuvenated the participants to do their best. Principal S.I. Shareef warmly welcomed and introduced the judges to the audience. The assistant Vice Principals, Jailal V.C., Sheeja Jaleel and the Chief for Coordinator –Co-curricular activities, Niyas Ahamed attended the function.
The Sur House emerged as the champions with 622 points in the annual literary and cultural competitions, followed by Nizwa House in the second position with 553 points and Salalah House in the third position with 545 points .
The winners of the various competitions will be awarded in a prize distribution ceremony to be held later.
