Bait Al Jabal Hospitality, that was built approximately 300-350 years ago, has now been renovated into a tourist hotel. Located in Al Hamra village, the building has been undertaken by the Ministry of Tourism and was opened for tourists in April this year. Majid Al Abri, one of owners, said: “The building has 10 rooms and a restaurant on the rooftop. It took a year-and-a-half to renovate the house and the site was chosen keeping in mind the nearby tourist attractions such as Jabal Shams and the Al Hoota Cave. The building was restored using the same tools used before likemud, plaster, and tree trunks to support the roof.”
