Indian airline announces seven new flights a week to Muscat

Muscat: GoAir, a budget airline from India, will operate seven flights a week to Kannur International Airport (KIAL) in Kerala from Muscat International Airport from February 1, 2019, according to Oman's Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA).
In a statement published on Twitter, PACA said, "The Authority today approved the Indian airline GoAir's operation of seven weekly flights arriving from Kannur International Airport in Kerala to Muscat International Airport from 1 February 2019."
The low-cost international carrier, based in Mumbai, India, is owned by Indian business conglomerate Wadia Group. In October, 2017 it was the fifth largest airline in India with an 8.4 per cent passenger market share.
Kannur International Airport is the fourth international airport in the South Indian state of Kerala, after Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, and Kozhikode.
