Credit Oman organises workshop

Muscat: The Oman Export Credit Guarantee Agency (Credit Oman) on Wednesday held a workshop on the international trade fundamentals in the presence of exporters and manufacturers from different governorates of the Sultanate.
The workshop discussed a range of topics on export transactions, trade standards, international trade requirements and shipping documents to be completed for export.
In his speech, Ahmed Madkour, Director General of Claims and Repayments for the Middle East at Claims Consultants, referred to international trade items that include export obligations to the exporter and importer and terms of payment in the event of buyer default on commercial and non-commercial risks.
He reviewed the issues related to the mechanism of resolving commercial disputes among the Arab countries and comparing them with other countries of the world, the legal systems and bases in the Arab countries in terms of exports and trade exchange. He stressed the importance of finding the necessary credit for exporters.
A number of models that exporters have to use in the business process were also reviewed in order to complete the export process.
This workshop comes as part of a series of awareness programs and activities carried out by Credit Oman to introduce the fundamentals of trade and the laws and regulations related to credit insurance.
