Muscat: A total of 64 migrants have been deported for entering the country illegally, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced.

According to authorities, the expats were of "Asian nationality" and were sent back through Muscat International Airport. No further information regarding their country of origin was made available.
In a statement online, the police said: "The Royal Oman Police (ROP) deported 64 infiltrators of Asian nationality through Muscat International Airport in compliance with the provisions of the judicial authorities which ordered them to be expelled from the Sultanate legally."
