Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP) disclosed that Wadi Al Oq Road had been closed due to the overflow of wadis resulting from rains.

According to an official ROP online statement, “Presently, traffic has been cut on the Wadi Al Oq road, due to the overflow of wadis. Please be careful."

Moreover, ROP also warned people in Al Batinah to be careful while traveling, as ongoing rainfall may pose a problem.

ROP said that the closure of roads due to the overflow of wadis and a loss of visibility due to rain could prove an issue to road users.

“Heavy rains in parts of the North Al Batinah governorate, such as Sohar and Saham, may cause low horizontal visibility on the road. Please remain safe,” ROP tweeted.

“Rustaq and Nakhl have been experiencing uneven rainfall with some wadis overflowing. No one should risk crossing the wadis and all should remain very cautious."
