Batinah North OCCI receives Indian Ambassador

Muscat: Abdullah bin Ali Al Shafei, the Chairman of the Board Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in Batinah North Governorate, met Ambassador of India Muna Mahawar last Thursday.
During their meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing trade, investment and economic cooperation.
AL Shafei also discussed investment opportunities that are available in Batinah North Governorate, in addition to the facilities and privileges that are provided in Sohar Free Zone, Sohar Industrial Estate and Sohar Port.
Meanwhile, the Ambassador praised the economic and commercial relations between India and Oman, and said he looked forward to strengthening the bilateral investment and the trade partnership, especially in increasing the availability of opportunities in Batinah North Governorate.
''The Sultanate of Oman enjoys political stability, a strategic location and attractive business environment, which are the most important factors in encouraging foreign investments, including Indian investments,'' the ambassador said.
