Muscat: Residents in the northern governorates of Oman will continue seeing rain until Monday, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation said.
A statement from the authority said, "The Multi-Hazard Early Warning Centre predicts the continuation of effects, including rain of various strength accompanied by thunder and wind, until Monday."
These affects will occur "over the governorates of Musandam, Buraimi, Dhahirah, Batinah, Muscat, Dakhiliyah, and Sharqiyah, with a possibility of affects increasing concentrating over mountains and surrounding area. Residents are urged to exercise caution, and to consult warnings."
According to PACA, rains fell over northern governorates over the past two days, with recording stations at Jabal Akhdar and Rustaq seeing the highest amount of rain.
The statement added, "Jabal Akhdar saw 32 mm and Rustaq saw 26 mm as recorded by recording stations."
