Opportunities for investment in France reviewed

Muscat: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), in cooperation with the French Embassy in the Sultanate organised “Invest in France Forum”.
The Forum reviewed the available investment opportunities in France and means of enhancing economic and investment partnerships between the Omani private sector and its French counterpart.
While addressing the gathering, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, OCCI Chairman said that the Forum seeks to open horizons to the Omani private sector, identify the available investment opportunities and seek to explore economic and investment partnerships.
He hoped that the next meeting will introduce French investors to the available investment opportunities in the Sultanate.
The OCCI Chairman hailed the deep rooted relations between the Sultanate and France especially there are many opportunities for businessmen and businesswomen from both sides to develop reciprocal trade and investment.
He noted that the value of the Omani imports from France stood at OMR98 million and the value of Omani exports to France stood at OMR9 million.
On his part, Renaud Salins, French Ambassador to the Sultanate stressed the importance of economic cooperation between the Sultanate and France.
He pointed out that the meetings and forums contribute directly to enhancing cooperation and trade between the Omani and French sides and enhance the trade exchange between the two countries.
The Forum included working papers on investment in France including Omantel’s successful investment experience in Marseille in France.
