Muscat: Knowledge Oman celebrates Omani Women's Day since His Majesty’s declaration of the day during the Women’s Symposium in 2009.
Knowledge Oman has attracted a network of professional and expert women in the industry representing various industries and sectors to support the growth and development of women in the country. The prominent role of women at the helm of the leading social platform is a testament to the progress made by women in the country and their strategic role driving forward key initiatives in the society serving the vision of His Majesty towards a knowledge-based society.
Knowledge Oman has empowered women since its launch from various professions and backgrounds with an open community platform that celebrates achievements, encourages talent and enables positive difference in the Sultanate.
Tariq Hilal Al-Barwani, founder of Knowledge Oman, said, “Today, we are proud that women in the team have been the corner stone of our success, leading and sustaining the majority of our projects. Without them, we wouldn’t have achieved and reached where we are today.”
Women at Knowledge Oman have spearheaded many projects that received major recognition in their role such as the Knowledge Ambassadors project with a network of speakers sharing their knowledge across the country to creative charity events with donations that benefit specific community causes.
“We are very pleased and happy to be part of Knowledge Oman and also to be recognized for the work we do in the society. The learning, the network and opportunities we get definitely helps us to prosper and make a better contribution in the country. We welcome all women to join us in this difference making platform,” said Balqees Al Hassani, Vice President of Knowledge Oman.
Knowledge Oman has organized women entrepreneurship seminars specifically to educate, support and develop Women capacity in the country and also organized women only gathering in Sultan Qaboos University which contributed in establishing strong relations amongs the team and collectively discussing their role and way forward.
