More than 100 expats arrested and deported from Oman

Muscat: Over 100 expats were arrested and deported from Buraimi in September, the Ministry of Manpower announced.

The ministry has released data regarding the number of expats that were deported last month. In a statement online, the ministry said, "105 violating workers were arrested and deported last month in Buraimi."

Last week, the work inspection team at the ministry departed 272 workers who violated Omani labour law in Al Wusta and Muscat.

In another inspection, 289 expats were arrested in Fahud and Barkha. All individuals have been referred to the competent authorities for further investigation.
