Equestrian: Royal Court Affairs holds meeting with horse owners, trainers

MUSCAT: Nasr bin Humood Al Kindi, secretary-general of Royal Court Affairs, met the horse owners and trainers from the various governorates during a meeting organized by the Royal Court Affairs ahead of the new racing season recently.
The secretary-general of Royal Court Affairs said that 2018-19 season will include 20 race days with the opening raceday being held on October 18 at Al Rahba racecourse in Barka.
He confirmed that the organizing committee for horse racing is ready and even spoke about the efforts exerted by Royal Court Affairs in field of horse labs and the cooperation with international labs outside Oman.
He added that Royal Court Affairs saves no efforts in developing races. He also praised the cooperation of horse owners and trainers with Royal Horse Racing Club.
At the end of the meeting the owners and trainers thanked the secretary general and Brigadier General Abdulrazak Abdulqaker Alshahwarzi, commander of Royal Cavalry, who attended the meeting and also a number of officials from Royal Horse Racing Club.
