Muscat: A coastal road in Dhofar has been blocked by fallen rocks and mud, the National Centre for Emergency Management announced.
The road is in Wilayat Shalim, and according to NCEM, the block occurred due to "the moderate to heavy rain" in the area.
Royal Oman Police has also said that the road is "not accessible except by four-wheel drive vehicles."
In a statement online, NCEM said, "Moderate to heavy rain in Wilayat Shalim has resulted in the fall of stones and mud on the coastal road (Shuwaimiya-Hasak) in Dhofar governorate."
Motorist have been advised to be cautious.
