Tropical Storm Luban's effects to be felt soon

Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates are expected to start being affected by tropical storm Luban from Wednesday.

"The latest weather maps and analysis of the National Centre for Multi-Hazard Early Warning indicate the concentration of the tropical storm Luban in the middle of the Arabian Sea. The wind speed around the centre is estimated at 35-40 knots/64-74 kmph and is about 940 km away from Salalah." - Public Authority for Civil Aviation

Officials added that meteorologists continue to analyse and follow-up the latest developments around the clock.

The Civil Aviation Authority calls for the follow-up of weather reports and reports on the evolution of the meteorological situation.
