MUSCAT: The first showjumping coaching camp for Level 1, held in Oman for the first time, concluded at Al Rahba Farm in Wilayat Barka.
The camp was organized by Oman Equestrian Association with the support of Oman Olympic Committee and represented by the Oman Olympic Solidarity Committee in cooperation with the International Equestrian Federation.
Participating in the camp were 15 trainees who obtained international badges after successfully passing the course. The camp was attended by participants from Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Turkey and France. The course included theoretical and practical lessons with the aim of uplifting the efficiency and capacities of Omani cadres in the show jumping sport.
Oman Equestrian Association hopes to organise such courses constantly in order to qualify those in charge of these sports and enable them to keep abreast of the latest developments in this respect.
Sheikh Khalid bin Said bin Salim Al Wahaibi, CEO of Assarain Group of Companies presided over the closing ceremony of the 5-day course.
