Municipal authorities raid bank in Oman

Muscat: A bank in Al Khuwair, which was operating as a public warehouse alongside its regular activities, has been raided by Municipal authorities, Muscat Municipality has announced.
In a statement online, Muscat Municipality said, “The Urban Inspection unit of Muscat Municipality in Bausher raided a local bank for practicing unlicensed activity (for also functioning as a public warehouse) in al Khuwair, which is contrary to municipal laws related to organising local markets.”
