Bank Muscat warns customers of fake message scam

Bank Muscat customers are being asked to ignore a fake message that tells people their ATM cards have been blocked.

The message, which is issued by a website called Bank Muscat Online Update, is sending people the following message in both English and Arabic:

"Dear Customer, your ATM Card has been blocked. Because you did not have an update yet. If you want your ATM card to work properly, then call this number immediately: 96631571"

Bank Muscat officials have asked people to be cautious and refrain from sharing banking details to avoid fraud.
