Muscat: Telecom company Omantel has donated ventilators for Royal Hospital's paediatric ICU department, at a cost of OMR10,000.
The device will help newborns who suffer from respiratory diseases, according to the hospital.
Royal Hospital said in a statement: "At a total cost of OMR10,000, Omantel has provided the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Hospital with five Hamilton C2 compensatory ventilators, which will enable the use of these devices in newborns under 5 kg and those suffering from respiratory diseases."
