This Indian school in Oman will now hold after-school classes for students

Muscat: The Indian School Muscat has said that students will be offered extra classes after school to help improve their grades in the upcoming senior school exams.
A circular issued to parents from the school has said that classes will be offered for students who enroll for them. Students from grade IX to XII are eligible and the classes will be held on all weekdays from 2.15 pm to 5.30 pm and on all Saturdays from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm.
Students of class IX and X will be provided extra lessons in second language, math, science and social science, while students of class XI and XII will be offered classes in math, physics, chemistry, biology, accountancy, business studies, computer science and informatics practices.
The circular read, “As part of our commitment towards academic improvement of your ward, it has been decided by the School Management Committee and School Administration to conduct extended academic enrichment sessions for interested students irrespective of their academic performances through separate sessions.
“The main purpose of these sessions is to provide more focused attention to students in those subjects which they believe should be improved upon in order to excel in their academics,” added the circular. “Apart from being handled by eminent subject experts, these sessions are expected to bring about considerable enhancement of knowledge on the subject through additional notes and coverage of topics.”
The form to enroll can be accessed on the school’s website by September 15. One can also contact the Vice Principal of the Senior Section to enroll in these classes after the specified time.
