The body of former United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan arrived in his home country Ghana on Monday.
He died in Switzerland, aged 80, in August and will receive a full state funeral on Thursday.
His wife Nana Maria Annan, and children and grandchildren, were met off the plane by Ghana's President Nana Akufo Addo.
After a brief ceremony, soldiers changed the U.N. flag over the casket for the national colours, before transferring the coffin to a hearse.
