Fire engulfs farm in Oman

Muscat: A farm in Dhofar governorate went up in flames, the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) announced.

Firefighters managed to put out the fire before any major damage could take place. Officials also announced that no injuries were recorded in the incident.

In a statement online, PACDA said, “Firefighters from the Department of Civil Defence and Ambulance in Dhofar Governorate, managed to extinguish a fire [that started] in a farm in the Wilayat of Sadah without recording injuries.

PACDA added, "The General Authority extends its thanks to all those who contributed in extinguishing the fire with the Authority members."

The Authority calls upon the owners of the farms to follow the safety requirements in order to avoid fires and protect lives and property.
