Tuesday September 11 will be an official holiday for employees working in both public and private sectors. This comes after the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs confirmed that Tuesday will be the first day of the new Islamic year. Earlier this month, a decision was issued declaring an official holiday on the first day of Muharram 1440 AH.
