Muscat: Three people have been arrested on charges of stealing vehicles in Oman, and two of them were also involved in a hit-and-run collision in Bausher, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced.
In the hit-and-run case, the driver did not have a licence, officials said. According to the statement put out by ROP, “The Muscat Police Command managed to arrest two citizens for stealing a vehicle and [getting] involved in a [hit-and-run] accident in Al Muna heights in the Wilayat of Bausher.
“The accused fled the scene and after an investigation was carried out, they were nabbed. It turned out that the driver had no driving licence,” police added.
Meanwhile, in the second case one person was arrested for stealing a vehicle in the Wilayat of Amerat. Officials said that he was under the influence of alcohol.
