Ruwi police station to help ROP serve better, improve security

Muttrah: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) yesterday celebrated the opening of Ruwi Police Station in the Wilayat of Muttrah in the Governorate of Muscat.
The opening of the new station is part of the ROP strategy to promote services for citizens and residents.
The opening ceremony of the new police station was held under the patronage of Sayyid Said bin Ibrahim Al-Busaidi, Deputy Governor of Muscat in the presence of Maj.Gen Hamad bin Sulaiman Al Hatmi, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations, officials, senior officers of ROP and other security and military units.
The chief guest unveiled the commemoration plaque declaring the official opening of the Ruwi Police Station. Then, he toured the station and its facilities.
The Deputy Governor of Muscat said that the opening of Ruwi Police Station is of great security importance and it is distinguished by its location in the centre of Muttrah. He pointed out that the ROP has made an excellent progress in modernising police stations in all the governorates of the Sultanate.
The Ruwi Police Station building has been built in accordance with the latest technical standards and specifications, including multiple facilities to provide a suitable environment and ideal nature for police to work and maintain security as well as providing best services to citizens and residents.
