Muscat: The Omani-Bahraini Joint Committee will hold its 6th round of meetings in Salalah today and tomorrow.
The Foreign Ministry has issued a statement on the meetings, which reads as follows:
“Stemming from the existing good fraternal relations between the Sultanate and the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, and from their keenness to strengthen the existing ties of cooperation, the Omani-Bahraini Joint Committee will hold its 6th round of meetings in Salalah on Monday and Tuesday, 3 and 4 September 2018.
The Omani side will be led by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs whilst the Bahraini side will be chaired by Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain with participation of senior officials in the two brotherly countries representing government institutions.
The statement added, “The Joint Committee will discuss various areas of existing cooperation between the two brotherly countries particularly in economic, trade and investment fields and means of developing them, in addition to reviewing what has been achieved since the fifth round, which was held in the Kingdom of Bahrain during December 2014”.
