Orientation begins for 3,000 students of new SQU's 33rd batch

Muscat: Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) on Sunday received its new students of the 33rd batch of the general education graduates for the academic year 2018/2019 at SQU Cultural Centre on the first day of the orientation week.
In all 3,000 students have been admitted this year.
The orientation week aims to introduce the students to the centres and entities on the campus that provides various services and facilities required by the university’s students in the academic aspects, religious, cultural, and sports activities, in addition to the social, psychological and healthcare programmes, the important dates, times and places of conducting of the placement tests.
In addition, the new students will tour the SQU different faculties in order to learn about the programmes, specialisations and study plans offered by the faculties, as well as the various services offered by each college to its students.
