Muscat: On the occasion of the blessed Eid Al Adha 1439 AH, and as per the Royal Orders of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the blessed Eid Al Adha 1439 AH holiday for employees at the ministries, public authorities and other departments of the State’s Administrative Apparatus will be from Sunday, 8th Dhul Hijjah 1439 AH, corresponding to August 19, 2018 till Thursday, 12th Dhul Hijjah 1439 AH, corresponding to August 23, 2018.
Work will resume on Sunday, 15th Dhul Hijjah 1439 AH, corresponding to August 26,” according to a decision by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Chairman of the Civil Service Council.
The Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court extended his congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on this occasion, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness and a long life and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty for many years to come.
He also greeted the Omani people and our dear country further progress and prosperity under His Majesty’s wise leadership and all Muslims welfare and blessings.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower issued a ministerial decision stating that Eid Al Adha holiday at the private sector’s companies and establishments will be from Sunday, 8th Dhul Hijjah 1439 AH, corresponding to 19 August 2018 till Thursday, 12th Dhul Hijjah 1439 AH, corresponding to 23 A
ugust 2018.
The decision allowed employers and employees to agree on work arrangements to compensate this holiday, if necessity arises. Employees whose weekly-off coincides with the holiday of the aforesaid occasion must be compensated.
All employees at the private sector extended their congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said on this blessed occasion, praying to the Almighty Allah to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness and a long life, and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty, the Omani people and all Muslims with welfare and blessings.
