Twitter hashtag promotes Oman tourism

Muscat: Hundreds of Twitter users in Oman have been promoting tourism in their country through the hashtag #Oman_scenery, which has been trending for the past two days.

Following heavy rainfall in many parts of the Sultanate, social media users started sharing their clicks of flooded wadis, waterfalls, dark clouds, and wet roads.

Others shared photographs of traditional Omani customs and foods.

@WeatherOman, a Twitter account dedicated to news coverage of weather forecast, participated in the most trending hashtag by uploading images of Omani children enjoying the rain shower.

@alsawsan21 clicked a nice photo of local honey and bread, with a flooded wadi in the background.
