Nine injured after car explosion

An explosion after a vehicle collision in central Cairo injured nine people on Monday.

It was not immediately clear what exactly caused the blast.

Two security sources said a faulty car battery might have been responsible.

They added that flames from the destroyed car spread to a minibus, which was also destroyed, with debris and metal scattered close by.
