Salalah Airport celebrates Khareef with photo exhibition

Muscat: Salalah Airport has organised a new photo exhibition dedicated to this year’s Khareef season, highlighting the beauty of the Governorate of Dhofar.
The event features 38 pictures taken by Omani photographers, with special focus on the GPS coordinates of the attractions in the photographs to help prospective tourists discover the locations on their own.
“The photographers worked to collect a number of pictures that drew attention to tourist sites that were either previously unknown or not regularly frequented by tourists,” said Haitham Al Shanfari, head of the exhibit.
The photographs showcase a number of unique sites, including Jabal Taqa, the Rakhyut waterfalls at the top of Al Saadah Mountain, Al Fazayah Beach, and Ayn Ishat, as well as the forts of Taqa, Mirbat, and Al Haffa.
The launch of the photo exhibition coincided with the inauguration of Salalah Airport’s revamped website. The website, which offers a comprehensive introduction to the award-winning hub, was developed as a platform offering seamless information, services, and updates related to Salalah Airport and its operations.
The website includes a geographic information system that provides visitors with a 360-degree view of the terminal, in addition to detailed instructions and regulations for travellers.
