Muscat: The chiefs of Muscat Municipality and Muscat Municipality-Seeb have expressed their support for the ongoing development of the Al Araimi Boulevard (ABLVD) project.
ABLVD is an innovative retail development concept set to open in September 2018 in Muscat. It is expected to expand leisure and entertainment offerings, in line with Oman’s efforts to boost upscale tourism and contribute to economic growth.
Al Raid Group, the developer of ABLVD, welcomed Engr. Mohsin Al Sheikh, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, and Engr. Badar Ali Al Bahri, Director General of Muscat Municipality-Seeb, when they visited the project recently.
ABLVD is Oman’s latest and largest shopping, entertainment, and lifestyle destination, and is at the forefront of efforts to develop futuristic shopping malls and leisure destinations in the Sultanate. It combines advanced technologies and designs to deliver a one-of-a-kind mall inspired by the beauty and diversity of Oman while providing world-class, state-of-the-art facilities and amenities.
Sheikh Fahad Bin Abdullah Al Araimi, CEO of Al Raid Group, took the officials around during their respective visits and explained the progress and current construction phase of the mall, including the features that will be highlighted once the mall opens by the end of September this year.
Al Araimi Boulevard is another major development in Oman’s bid to become a leading destination in the region, offering diverse retail and leisure options to both local and international tourists, which will provide significant job prospects for Omanis and further boost Oman’s economy," remarked Al Sheikh. "We look forward to assisting these projects to ensure the smooth flow of their implementation and achieve success.”
The Municipality of Muscat has taken the initiative to check on important projects currently being constructed within its territory to ensure that their needs are met. The municipality is also making sure that project developers are able to coordinate with designated specialists should certain needs arise, to facilitate progress and allow for on-time completion.
“Al Araimi Boulevard is set to become Oman’s new destination mall that will attract tourists and residents alike,” said Al Bahri. “With amazing skylights and hard work invested by the Al Raid Group, we are confident it will be a successful venture. The area planning and overall structure of the mall are highly attractive and unique."
