A pledge to help the needy, build better Oman

Muscat: One of Oman’s leading community education organisations has pledged to continue providing knowledge to local communities to help build a better future for the country.
On the occasion of Renaissance Day, Knowledge Oman reiterated its desire to educate people through the practice of knowledge transfer and by investing in both residents and citizens alike.
Knowledge Oman also conducted its first community social responsibility (CSR) initiative at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH) to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Oman’s 48th Renaissance Day by distributing gifts to patients at the facility.
The collaboration with SQUH was established to share joy with the hospital’s cancer patients and give them and their families much-needed support.
The hospital visit was conducted by Sameer Al Ghafri, Knowledge Oman’s CSR team leader, along with six members, who distributed gifts and flowers to the patients.
“CSR is all about bringing and giving good to society,” said Balqees Al Hassani, Vice President of Knowledge Oman. “We at Knowledge Oman are proud as a family to be engaging, giving, doing good, and bringing knowledge closer to society. We were honoured to visit the hospital and to spread joy and happiness to the little ones.”
“The auspicious occasion of Renaissance Day is one of the most important occasions for Knowledge Oman, as it is the occasion when Oman transformed completely to become globally recognised as an unmatched country,” he added.
“As a result, Knowledge Oman is committed to give back to the community by conducting CSR initiatives, in addition to other programmes and workshops. Therefore, with a focus on the betterment of society as a whole, as well as the betterment of individuals, this initiative aims to trigger positive change in the community and inspire local organisations to organise similar programmes.”
Knowledge Oman has announced a new direction for upcoming years, which includes the educational uplift, empowerment of youth and economic growth. The organisation has appointed new leaders to implement strategies to achieve these goals.
