Oman hotels offer discounts ahead of Renaissance Day holiday

Muscat: After the announcement of the Renaissance Day holiday on July 23, a number of hotels have been offering discounts and offers in a bid to attract more visitors.
Salalah
One such hotel is the Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara. The city plays host to most of the Khareef season tourists, and the resort is hoping that the influx will increase during the weekend before the holiday.
James Hewitson, General Manager of the Al Baleed Resort Salalah, said the hotel is adding new offers to its existing Khareef plans.
“Rates start from OMR152 onwards, which includes breakfast and dinner for two adults and three children per night,” he said. “This is our Renaissance Day offer for this weekend. The regular rate is OMR145, and residents and citizens can get a 20 per cent discount on this rate for a Deluxe Garden View room,” he added.
Khasab
Hotels in Musandam are also trying to woo tourists, as more visitors are likely to flock to Dhofar during Khareef.
Atana Khasab is also floating a new Renaissance Day offer, in addition to their summer offer.
“For our Renaissance Day offer, a guest can get the third day for free after staying two days at the hotel,” said a representative from Atana Khasab Hotel.
“This includes breakfast for two persons. We hope to continue this offer right up to September to see how it goes. This offer, however, doesn’t hold good for the Eid Al Adha holidays in August.”
“We are also continuing with our summer promotion package, which offers a discounted price of OMR38 per night,” he added.
Musannah
The Millennium Hotel in Musannah is also offering hotel stays at discounted prices.
Dermot Birchall, General Manager of Millennium Resort Mussanah Oman, disclosed that citizens and residents of Oman can avail of rooms at discounted prices.
“The Millennium Resort Mussanah is offering Omani locals and residents an enticing summer package starting at OMR40, which includes a one-night stay in a deluxe room and complimentary breakfast for two, or OMR50 for a one-night stay with breakfast and dinner,” said Birchall.
“Children below six years of age who share a bed with their parents get to stay for free with the same meal plan, while children below 12 years can take advantage of a 50 per cent discount for an extra bed, breakfast, and dinner.”
“Guests who avail of the summer package also get complimentary access to Aqua Fun, zipline, tennis and mini-golf,” he added.
“A day pass worth OMR10 will give full access to a range of indoor and outdoor activities at the resort, while an OMR18 day pass includes lunch. This offer also includes high-speed Wi-Fi connection and is valid until September 30, 2018.”
