Rustaq: As delegated by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, His Highness Sayyid Fatik bin Fahr Al Said, yesterday patronised over the official opening of Al Batinah Expressway, one of the strategic projects, which the Ministry of Transport and Communications supervised its implementation.
The 270 km long road project starts from the end of Muscat Expressway in Halban and ends at Khatmat Milaha in the Wilayat
of Shinas.
The road includes four 3.75-meter-wide lanes at each direction with three-meter wide external asphalt shoulders and two-meter–wide internal shoulders.

It also has 23 interchanges, 17 flyover bridges and 12 ground passes, in addition to 25 bridges over wadis.
The event was attended by their highnesses, their excellencies, members at the State Council and Majlis Al Shura, sheikhs and citizens from the Governorates of North and South Al Batinah.
